High Hampton 2011

We just got home from another great week at High Hampton.
We all had a wonderful time,  The boys played HARD, Ted was able to play lots of golf and i did lots of relaxing and even managed to read two books.
Now that's what i call a vacation!
Our room assignment got a little mixed up on the day that we arrived so **poor us** we were forced to stay in this beautiful 4 bedroom cabin (with a kitchen) for the first night.
We felt a little spoiled getting to stay there but loved moving a little closer to our friends and all the action.

My very brave 5 year old did sliding rock for the first time all by himself this year. And as you can imagine after going down once he went down again and again!

Roe learned to drive

The famous blue blazer picture

And on th elast day we decided to go fishing and look at this fella that snagged our worm on just the second cast.
Proud dad and boys.

Roe was proud to just scared to stand near our buddy the fish.

Feelin' Hot Hot Hot

We are having a great summer, but just like every year, I wish were spending more time outside. It is HOT around here, and that mixed with afternoon thunderstorms, and attack mosquito's, sometimes it's not so pleasant to be outside.
We have had plenty of play dates,
fun with LEGO'S

Skateboard practice

and silliness

4th of July

We had a fun fourth this year.  We started the day out at the Yacht Club with the Brent's.
Well, John, Anne and Margaret!
It was a ton of fun and we all had to come home after lunch for a nice little nap.

Good idea because we were in for a long night!
We met Baba at Timuquana for dinner around six and stayed all night for fun and fireworks.
The kids had a blast rolling and running down the hill.

We loved getting to see so many of our friends that we haven't seen since school has been out.

Kirby, Tyler and Roe.
These boys haven't see each other on a while, but it didn't take any time to pick up just where they left off.

beach week

At the beginning of this month we were lucky enough to be able to spend a week and a half at the beach.
Last year when we went my camera broke and so i was extra careful ( and a little paranoid) about taking pictures on the beach.
I did manage to get a few of the kids playing in the yard.

One day we had some friends from California stop by to play for a few hours, Kirby and Vivianne really had a great time together and we hope next time they are in Jacksonville we can play again.

For what may be the 12th year we were invited to "The Beach House" to spend Memorial Day with what can only be described as family.
It's awesome that these kiddos have had the opportunity to spend so much time at such an amazing place.
These two may be dangerous in a few years

Last day of school and end of the year party

Since I was the room mom for Kirby's class this year I was needed to help with the end of the year party. Roe's last day was Wednesday so he tagged along with the big kids for their party.
There were all sorts of fun activities

I have loved watching these kiddos grow up over the past 3 years and cant believe they will be going into Kindergarten next year.

(orientation issues as usual)
Roe accidentally stood in the splash zone at the bottom of the water slide.

after getting wet Roe decided he had had just about enough....and took a little rest from the big kids

But revived when they all went back to the classroom for some more fun.

What a great year!

Roe's Second Birthday

We went back and fourth on what to do for a birthday party for one little boy who can not/does not eat.
It's no fun for other kids to be invited to a birthday party without cake and icecream, but it is no fair for him to give it to the kids and (under the strange coincidence that he may actually want to eat) not let him have any.
We settled upon a quiet family birthday party in Gigi and Pops back yard.
We ate turkey burgers (which he can eat) and i made special cupcakes for the three kiddos.
Kirb, Roe and Margaret.
It was perfect!!!
sweet cousins
all three of these kiddos are totally obsessed with each other
so sweet

Auntie Bedo (sierra) came for a few days, bearing gifts for all!
Roe's Birthday present was this Thomas the Train power wheels!!!
Obsessed

On Roe's actual birthday we went to adventure landing to play putt putt.
Just our family and Roe's God-parents,
It was a hit!

The next weekend was the TPC and since we have some pretty sweet accomidations at Sawgrass we decided to make a long weekend of it.

Hunter was more interested in fishing than the golf, which was fine with us.

Kirby is now my little fisher boy..... Thanks Pops for the fishing poles!

Cool dudes ready for the beach
