Sunshine!

Ok, it rained like 25 days in a row and then all of a sudden...............
There was the sun!
And it was warm and we HAD to go out on the boat.
The boys love it

We can't wait until summer

Presidents day was beautiful as well, and we thought it would be a great day to have a picnic on the beach and visit mom-b

A beautiful weekend.

Last weekend was beautiful, and we had Baby Roe all to ourselves.  Gigi and Pops took Kirby to Sarasota on an adventure to visit his cousins.
I took the opportunity alone with only one kid to take some pics of our little/ big boy.
I really do feel like he is just growing like a weed, he seems bigger now than he was just a few weeks ago when we took him for the weigh-in.
We go in again on the 28th and we are expecting to see more progress!
I can't believe we are already talking about his 2nd birthday party!
Ted and Kirby have decided that we can't call him "baby Roe" anymore because he is getting to be a big boy.  I think this name change will be the hardest for Kirb, who says Ba-roe like it is one word.

How big is Roe-Roe?
So big!

Roe is totally talking up a storm!
I don't remember Kirby talking as much at this age, or maybe we just couldn't understand him. Roe repeats everything and says most things pretty perfect.
Here is Kirb at 21 months.
Differences:
More hair, Kirby looks like less of a baby ( maybe because of the hair)
Similarities:
Same clothes.... there is no way Roe is THAT SMALL, kirb is wearing the same stuff we are now?!?!
They are both insane climbers, no fear.  And they both have a heart of gold, i feel so lucky.
  They are both so sweet

Roe is totally obsessed with anything sporty, again, this did not come from me.  Since you all know i am obsessed with anything that doesn't involve a ball flying through the air.... which is usually magnetized to my head.
Roe loves to watch sports center, which i think is kind of crazy.... but he's a boy.
The best part is, when watching Sports Center, he usually yells,  Go, go, go  Goooooo Gators.
so cute

On to Sarasota
Sweet Lola.

Pictures are a little bit out of order.
On their way home Gigi and Pops decided to stop in St Augustine for lunch and a visit to Ripley's Believe it or not.
First stop the Pier for lunch.

Believe it or not
Arrrrrrrgh

And back to Sarasota.

Puff the Magic Dragon

This year Kirby's class has a magical dragon who travels by backpack home each week with another lucky child.
There are 20 children in K's class, every Friday we say " maybe we will be the ones to bring Puff home this weekend" and every Friday in carpool there would be Puff in the loving hands of another child.
Another Friday where Kirby would be crushed.  Well seeing that this would be the 23rd week of school, we knew it had to be coming up.
And on Friday I had one happy little fella.
Puff and Kirby played Lego's.

Baked some special cookies for baby Roe.

Made some posters for the St. Marks Fun Run.

Puff took turns sleeping with the boys.

On Saturday we had a babysitter and Puff got a little crazy.

Sunday was the day of the "Big Accident"
Puff was invited to a cook-out/ birthday for a friend who was in town. We (mom) thought it would be a wonderful idea to take some close up pics of puff breathing fire.
BAD IDEA
Puff.... the class mascot, the beloved puppet of Mrs. Mahoney's class, got injured under my care.
We were able to write a clever story about how Puff definitely learned his lesson about going to close to the fire, we rushed him to the Dragon Dr, who put a cast on his injury.
oops

This is a picture of Roe eating his first peanut butter cracker.
Since giving him the cracker i visited the PETA website and have been once again shocked to know some of the crap they put in out food.

I am learning so much, and looking back don't know if i should have given him that cracker.
Processed foods have so many hidden ingredients.
Do you know that Skittles have pork?
So do some apple juices... enough to make me want to start juicing and never but anything else in a package.
ewwwwwwww

Off to a good start

I would have to say that 2011 may be looking up for the Alexanders!
We have had two very good, promising appointments after a string of terrible ones.
Today we FINALLY were able and get part 1 of the EE panel for allergens.  They tested him today for food only, 28 different foods.
He cried a little, but just because he couldn't see what they were doing.
Ted and I had to keep him calm and still for 15 minutes while we anxiously waited for the results.
I kept looking at his back, like i may be able to decipher what was what, and predict the changes we may have in store.
Then we heard this loud buzzer, which we HOPED to be the "times-up" buzzer but also seemed like it may be a fire alarm, and nobody was turning it off....... should we evacuate?
no, times up :)
Then..... miracle beyond miracles.  They started reading the results.
Roe tested negative to egg, soy, and nuts.
WHAT!?!?
I'll tell you what, WE get to give Roe some more food!  YAY!!!!
Milk was bad, real bad, worse than the histamine control that they has for the positive, and we have two more to add to our list of foods to avoid. Beef and Pork (strange? huh)

We still have questions that are unanswered like, why were Roe's Eosinaphil #'s are so high, why he isn't gaining weight on real food, and why food hurts his tummy so much.
I guess it's all one step at a time.
Thank you for your continued prayer,  what a huge answer to prayer that we were able to add more food, when we thought today was going to be all about taking more away.
Thank you.
