Vista
Ted's family has a home a little bit north-east of Cedar Key on the Sewanee River.
It was built back when the Cummer family was logging Cypress in the area. We are blessed to have in the family, a spot on one of the last untouched areas in Florida. The area surrounding the house was donated to the wildlife refuge, I believe in the 70's, so when you walk out on the dock it's beautiful old florida wilderness af far as the eye can see.
The house was a favorite fishing spot for Ted's grandfather and many friends, it is a little rustic for today's standards, but perfect for a wonderful family weekend.
During the summer months you can't come out here without seeing alligators, manatee, wild turkey, wild boar, and Ted's even seen bear.

We did LOTS of exploring and spent a few hours on Saturday in Cedar Key for Lunch, and Ice Cream.

Kirb and Dad did some hiking while Roe-roe took his nap.

Isn't this beautiful, this little house was where the cooks lived "back in the day". Now it's more of a storage space for the caretaker of the property.
Ted's grandad would have this house-boat pushed out into the gulf and fish for a few days with friends. Later he had it put up on stilts. Ted says when he was little and his family would come out there, this is where all the cousins would stay. It's a little shakey now but i was able to go up and explore in it a couple of times when we came down from Gainesville, a few years back.

Counting down
We have a lot to look forward to in the next couple of weeks. Of course we have the on-going birthday celebration, which includes cupcakes at school tomorrow. Dinner at Baba's on Thursday, and a big Brent/ Olsen family cookout Sunday to celebrate a ton of March birthdays : Kirby, John, Biba, Baby Brent, Ray, and Me :)!
We have a bigger "Birth Day" that we all are anxiously awaiting, the birth of our little cousin, _____________ Brent. Leave a comment with your choice of sex and name :)
And then the final countdown, I have been waiting since December, only 4 more days until i get to meet this little guy. My Precious God-Son. Baby Mackie (as Kirby calls him)

Let's get this party started..............
Thursday March 4th Kirby will turn 4 years old. I really can't believe it. It has been the most fun 4 years of my life, i feel so blessed to have these two healthy boys!
We have a little guy who is obsessed with Monster Trucks, so we were very lucky that Kirby's birthday (week) coordinated with MONSTER JAM.
Saturday night the big trucks came to Jacksonville Municipal Stadium and we had front row seats! Well, not front row, better, a box!
We had a tailgate for the kids before the show. Turkey sandwiches, juice boxes, and cupcakes.
It was FREEZING, so they decided to eat literally on the tailgate.
a second wind
We didn't get home until 10:30 and Kirb didn't get to bed until 11. I was hoping that he would sleep late but he was up promptly at 7:30 asking
So the party continues,
Abigail came and took millions of beautiful pics of all the kids, i can't thank her enough for her help and all the pics. This is just a preview she sent me. ^^^^^^
"Mom, do you know what today is?"
"Ugggggggggggghhhhhh, Monster Truck Birthday Party."

My beautiful sister (in-law)
It was a gorgeous day at Victory (lake) Speedway. Ted and i were up late last night talking about how great it all worked out. There were tons of huge ant piles when we got out there, but with about 50 guests not one sting. The wind was so bad when we were setting up, we lost all the balloons, i had to lay on the table in order to tape the tablecloth down. About 20 minutes before "showtime" the wind was so bad we decided to move the whole thing up the beach a little bit, Thank you Wade for your help. Well we got everything done, the wind died down and the kids had a blast.
