Keys

This is Roe the day we left.... he fell asleep standing up at like 11am.
Not feeling so great and in major need of some sun therapy.
This is Roe 24 hours later

The week before we left was quite the challenge, but we made it, and all it took was a little sun and a little salt air to make a full recovery.
The boys checking out the humongous fish at the World Wide Sportsman in Islamorada.

First stop for dad (after making a little rum punch) was the pool

We stayed at the most wonderful place,  Ted and I both agree that we must go back.
Kirby playing on the lawn in front of our place.

The Pirate pool

Much better

The week that Kirby missed at school was "I" week and the alpha-friend was Iggy Iguana,
how fitting that Kirby got to meet him.

Pops in the pool

We almost got caught by security.
Gigi and I thought it would be a great idea to lure the seagulls in with some chex-mix and then let Kirb shoot them with his Super-Soaker.... well one of our party-pooper neighbors called security!
Luckily we had just run out of Chex-mix and stepped inside when they came to arrest us for feeding the birds.

silly boys

This may be considered child abuse.... Roe's first Popsicle (yes he's almost two)

One of many evening cocktail walks on the docks.

Thursday James, Mary-Jane, Ted and I went down to Key west

It was fun since MJ had never been there, but then it monsooned.

A beautiful sunset to end a wonderful week.
Thank you Pops,
and Thank you Ted.

Kirby's Birthday

Friday March 4th Kirby turned 5 years old.
I can't even believe that little guy is already 5, and he acting every bit his age these days.
On his actual birthday we had plans to leave first thing after school for the keys so we planned a evening at Dave and Busters with Baba and Aunt K on that Wednesday.
We had a terrible week that week with Roe, with an ear infection, a reaction to the medicine and some terrible EE symptoms that caused him to loose 7oz. on just two days.
So, sad to say Roe and I were forced to sit this one out.
They all had a wonderful time. (even Baba)

I think Kirby mastered all of the games,

since he won something like 360 tickets.

He came home with his prizes of a plastic Diego wallet, and a bouncy ball for Roe.
I can't believe how little 360 tickets will buy these days!

Sunshine!

Ok, it rained like 25 days in a row and then all of a sudden...............
There was the sun!
And it was warm and we HAD to go out on the boat.
The boys love it

We can't wait until summer

Presidents day was beautiful as well, and we thought it would be a great day to have a picnic on the beach and visit mom-b

A beautiful weekend.

Last weekend was beautiful, and we had Baby Roe all to ourselves.  Gigi and Pops took Kirby to Sarasota on an adventure to visit his cousins.
I took the opportunity alone with only one kid to take some pics of our little/ big boy.
I really do feel like he is just growing like a weed, he seems bigger now than he was just a few weeks ago when we took him for the weigh-in.
We go in again on the 28th and we are expecting to see more progress!
I can't believe we are already talking about his 2nd birthday party!
Ted and Kirby have decided that we can't call him "baby Roe" anymore because he is getting to be a big boy.  I think this name change will be the hardest for Kirb, who says Ba-roe like it is one word.

How big is Roe-Roe?
So big!

Roe is totally talking up a storm!
I don't remember Kirby talking as much at this age, or maybe we just couldn't understand him. Roe repeats everything and says most things pretty perfect.
Here is Kirb at 21 months.
Differences:
More hair, Kirby looks like less of a baby ( maybe because of the hair)
Similarities:
Same clothes.... there is no way Roe is THAT SMALL, kirb is wearing the same stuff we are now?!?!
They are both insane climbers, no fear.  And they both have a heart of gold, i feel so lucky.
  They are both so sweet

Roe is totally obsessed with anything sporty, again, this did not come from me.  Since you all know i am obsessed with anything that doesn't involve a ball flying through the air.... which is usually magnetized to my head.
Roe loves to watch sports center, which i think is kind of crazy.... but he's a boy.
The best part is, when watching Sports Center, he usually yells,  Go, go, go  Goooooo Gators.
so cute

On to Sarasota

On their way home Gigi and Pops decided to stop in St Augustine for lunch and a visit to Ripley's Believe it or not.
First stop the Pier for lunch.
