Memorial Day at the Beach

We had a fun three day weekend. Saturday we went to Tripp Vogt's 2nd birthday bash. It was out in South Ponte Vedra, almost St. Augustine. Kirby had tons of fun and all sorts of frinds were there.

Saturday afternoon Kirby attended his first 40th birthdy party. Kirby was the perfect excuse for mom not to have to participate in "The Beer Olympics". Dad should have won a gold metal! Check out the picture of dad with Jeff Lageman. (Jacksonville Jaguar) And that's the birthday boy on the bike. We had a blast.

I decided on Sunday I would take the day off as far as being the photographer. But I couldn't resist snapping a few monday when we went to the beach with Wade and Courtney and Charlie and Sarah. Kirby's buddy is Evan Sandusky.

summer fun

OK, I know that the summer hasn't officially started, we haven't hit 90% yet. The days have been beautiful and we have been trying to keep busy. Our mornings have been spent going to either the zoo (surprise, surprise), the pool or the Kids campus at Metro Park, and each afternoon we have spent our time playing in the sprinklers or the baby pool in the back yard.

Kirby is SO busy it is hard to keep him contained to the playroom these days. My best bet has been to try my hardest to wear him out and hopefully he will nap and/or sleep at night.

Charleston

This week we went to Charleston with Gigi, Kirby loved playing golf on the lawn of our hotel.

This is the hotel where we stayed.
We took Kirby to the Charleston Children's museum, which was super cool, everything was interactive and kirby loved the water room and the art room the best.

Our hotel was part of an old plantation, Kirby loved visiting all the animals that lived on the plantation.
After a big week, we had a very sleepy baby.

The first haircut

Ok i don't want to gross you guys out but the only way we could get Kirby to sit still was to give him an iceream sandwich, so to see the actual hair cutting you will also have to see or little mess.
Anyways he looks TOTALLY different. Boo-hoo, I am so sad. I guess he looks like a 1 year old, I will post pictures of the new doo as soon as I take some.

Easter

Kirby, Ted, and I went to Amelia Island for the last weekend of the tennis tournament. It was freezing. Kirby loved playing at Drummond Park, mom and dad's old stomping grounds. They had taken down half of the playground but hopefully it will be back in commission before next year.

OK, Kirby loves the pool, especially when he is playing with friends! We hosted playgroup Thursday. Kirby and all his friends had a blast in the baby pool in the back yard.

We always knew that Kirby loved the toilet, now he is even dressing like a plumber.

No Kirby did not get a tattoo on his head, that is a leaf.

Water Fun

We took Kirby to the water park at the zoo this morning. As you can see he had a blast.

Hudson, his mommy and Grandma came along too, they loved splashing around.
But it was real overcast and got cold quickly so we only stayed about 30 minutes.
Check out kirby and daddy on the Alligator!

Kirby is just learning to walk.

We had a fun time at the Play Park at the zoo.

He liked the petting zoo,

until he realized the goats wern't dogs.

He especially loved bouncing on the spider web with Hudson and the big kids.

He also went exploring under the otter tank.
