Getting big!

Roe will be 9 months old in just a few days........... hard to believe. He is such a sweetie, and like his brother, into EVERYTHING!

Tennis Lessons

Kirby started tennis lessons a few weeks ago, it is a cute group of kids, ages 3+. These pictures are from Kirby's first day. He did AWESOME! I don't know if he really did as good as i thought he did, i may be a little bias since i am his momma, and biggest fan. Or it could be the fact that i am so -not sporty- that any athletic ability is extremely impressive to me.

I think it may be that he is just a tennis prodigy........... he's actually only been back one more time since this day due to a runny nose and rainy weather, so i will keep you updated on my little superstar.

Happy Anniversary

Ray Ray and Jon
I love you guys!

January

Besides the cold conditions around here, we have managed to have a happy January. Ted and Kirby went Hunting.

We made block castles

We had a birthday Party for Baba and Kirby made the cake.

Oh and this was hysterical, Kirby hung up some of Ted's dirty socks at the fireplace hoping to trick Santa into coming back. he kept saying "this is gonna be great!"

Heat Troubles

January started out with a "BANG" for us, literally. On Jan 1st (the begining of the big freeze) our heat went out. It was hard at first to tell if it was the heat or an electrical problem. We had brakers poping, fuses blowing, JEA came out twice and our buddy Lin the electrition came out too. After something like $700 of electrical who-knows-what we got the happy news that it wasn't an electrical problem it was our heat.

Sooooooooooooooo for the next 7 days this is what our house looked like. It was freezing, and even though Jacksonville didn't get snow this time, the alexanders did.... in the form of that fiberglass insulation. It was EVERYWHERE.

Little Roe taking a nap wearing probably every article of clothing he owns plus kirby's jacket on top of him.

Me and Ted wore our puffy jackets 24/7. Thank you Brandon Hammond for hooking it up. And Thank you Linda for not letting us freeze.

Abigail

We didn't send out Christmas cards this year, in an attempt to save a little money, I like to call it "going Green". So instead we did the Blog Christmas greeting, I don't think anyone cared to much. But I would like to share some pictures that my friend/ past student took of the boys.

Roe seemed like he was in a little of a funk that day since he is usually so smiley for the camera, but i did think this was a cute one.

Pops gave Kirby a Tackle Box full of fishing gear, including some freeze dried fish (bait), and rubber worms ........ewwwwwwwww

Charleston

Since i was thirteen my mom and i have done an annual trip up to Jekyll Island GA to do some Christmas shopping, get in the holiday spirit and just have some quality time. Last year i was pregnant at Jekyll and we talked about how we may manage to do our fabulous trip with a little one, and also the possibility that Kirby may still be in the mix.
After much deliberation we decided to include Kirbs one more year but choose a destination that was a little more child friendly.
If anyone is looking for a great trip for a family with kids, we have figured it out!
We decided on a mid week trip which was great we left Sunday and headed up to Charleston.
We spent all day Monday touring the grounds of the plantation, Which is huge! There are people dressed in period costume and all sorts of livestock just like a working plantation.

It was FREEZING and kirby managed to fall into a pond with his only shoes on. So we had to go shoe shopping........ lucky Kirbs

Gigi needing a rest.......... and the vacation has only begun :P

Our Room at Middleton InnSo on Tuesday Gigi had to make a quick trip to the outlet mall and you wouldn't believe what was next door.......... The Fire Fighter Museum. I have to admit it was Awesome!!!!
I don't know who liked it more me or Kirbs.
They had a real fire truck that they had taken apart and made into a simulator... I couldn't get Kirby out of it!
EVERYTHING was hands on, which we like.
Kirby and Roe watching a show about the dangers around the house that could cause a fire.
So.... Kirbs is asking for a fire extinguisher for Christmas, oh and a hose and an Ax.
I told him that you can't really use a fire extinguisher unless there is an actual fire, he is fine with that.
Then we went to the Charleston Children's Museum!
Awesome

Thanks Pops for a fun trip!
